Setting up GPS on your Phone

Android or iPhone

This information is to allow you to enable GPS services on your mobile phone.

To protect you it is crucial that your shift content information is accurate and it will require your GPS activation to be on during your shift.

Instructions for your phone type are shown below.

You can refer to the Privacy statement on the portal about the use of GPS data.

If you have any specific problem setting up your phone please contact your Manager.

Setup GPS on Android Phone
  • On the Security Portal screen click on the padlock symbol top left
  • Information about the page is displayed - note Location - Blocked
  • Click on Site settings
  • Click on Location access
  • Click on Allow
  • Click on Clear & Reset
To reset the application you can also delete your browser history, cache and cookies:
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app
  2. At the top right, tap More
  3. Tap History to Clear browsing data
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time
  5. Next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files" check the boxes
  6. Tap Clear data

Setup GPS on Apple iPhone
  1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services
  2. Make sure that Location Services is on
  3. Scroll down to find the app
  4. Tap the app (Safari) and select an option:
    • Never: Prevents access to Location Services information
    • Ask Next Time: This allows you to choose Always While Using App, Allow Once, or Don't Allow
    • While Using the App: Allows access to Location Services only when the app or one of its features is visible on screen. If an app is set to While Using the App, you might see your status bar turn blue with a message that an app is actively using your location.
    • Always: Allows access to your location even when the app is in the background (on later versions)
To reset the application you can also Delete your browser history, cache and cookies
Here's how to clear information from your device:
  • To clear your history and cookies, go to Settings > Safari, and tap Clear History and Website Data. Clearing your history, cookies and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.
  • To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data.
  • To visit sites without leaving a history, turn private browsing on or off.
  • When there's no history or website data to clear, the setting turns grey.
